“What we don’t transform within ourselves we transmit to others.” – Richard Rohr
Spiritual Director | Lafayette
Lyn is a Spiritual Director and Counselor who holds a Masters degree in both education and counseling. She is the author of five books of spirituality as well as two recordings. She is a speaker and directs retreats throughout the south.
Lyn is committed to helping women reach their potential in all areas of life. Sometimes early wounding experiences create shame within us that blocks the flow of creativity. We may find ourselves in co-dependent situations in which everyone seems to receive our time and care but us. We can be overwhelmed with busyness and exhaustion. Sometimes we can find ourselves out of touch with what we feel or think, lost in other peoples’ stories. Sitting with someone like Lyn who listens deeply to our own stories– and help us to make sense of them— can begin to release us from what holds us back. We can move from stumbling through life to lifting our wings and learning to fly. Then our inner music can sing forth.
Using art, music, guided meditations, the labyrinth and narrative therapy Lyn guides each woman to the truth of her inner story and her relationship with all that is sacred to her.
She believes that God is found everywhere, in the beauties of nature, in conversations, in music, even in our pain. We can encounter a God who is ever present, reaching out to us as we reach out to him. Life can be richer than we ever dreamed.
